Valentines day is fast approaching, so this year why not try this incredibly simple, inexpensive craft? It isn't just pretty easy, it's also pretty adorable. This rustic, farmhouse inspired garland takes less than 1 hour to create and you only need a few things to make it. It doesn't even have to be perfect, as it all adds to the rustic charm. If you are looking for something to spread the love and save your pennies this Valentines day, you have come to the right place.
You will need:
A board (a chopping board or a piece of wood will do fine)
Jute Twine
Hot glue gun
White ribbon
Method.
Using tiny blobs of glue-glue your twine to the board in four places in the shape of your heart.

Continuing inwards, glue the twine at regular intervals, to the inside of the heart shape you have made, not to the board! (Be sure to use as little glue as you can.)
Continue working your way into the centre of the heart, gluing the twine to the inside of the twine laid before.
Cut the string in the centre and glue down.
Remove any excess glue from the completed heart, to tidy a bit.
Repeat the above four more times.

NB. It is your choice if you want to make them varying sizes as I did or if you would like them all the same. I liked having a larger heart in the middle, then having the others getting smaller to the ends.
Measure some twine to the length you'd like the garland and add 6 inches, then cut.
Fold the twine over 1.5 inches and glue.

Attach the hearts to the length of twine with three blobs of glue to the back of each heart.
Add a small bow of ribbon where the loops were glued and you are done!

More embellishments could be added or different coloured ribbon, but I'm really pleased how pretty this looks.
