Sprouts! Well you either love them or hate them. I have always loved sprouts, but after having them in the plain old gravy way for years, I thought I'd try something a little different. Simple and tasty this will be done in only a few extra minutes and could possibly even convert those sprout haters...possibly!

You will need:
2 Tbsp Olive oil
Sprouts (5 for each adult is usually enough)
200g Unsmoked bacon lardons
1 Clove garlic
Salt and pepper
Method:
Peel and remove the stalks from the sprouts.(This bit can take a while!)
Bring to the boil a large pan of salted water.
Add your sprouts to the water, return to boil and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from the boil and rinse under cold water. (You can do this the day before you need them to save on the cooking time, but I prefer to just do the pre-cooking prep.)
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and cook the lardons until crispy.
Mix in the sprouts, garlic and sprinkle in a little salt and pepper to taste.
Cook on a medium heat, stirring gently until the sprouts are lightly browned. (Smells so good!)
Remove from the pan using a slotted spoon.

Serve and enjoy!
